Canadian Journalist Foundation 📖

In preparation for Media Literacy Week 2024, the Canadian Journalism Foundation sought to amplify the importance of media literacy and create a campaign that would resonate across North America. The goal was to spark conversation, build awareness, and encourage journalists to share the message widely. Collaborating with a copywriter, we developed the visually compelling and thought-provoking program "Trust Wisely," designed to highlight the essential role of critical thinking in navigating today’s media landscape.

Campaign Assets: Trust Wisely

After several creative iterations, the client fell in love with the finalized look and feel of the campaign. Using this design system, we developed a variety of assets to bring the Trust Wisely message to life. Social carousels, print ads, and videos emphasized the importance of placing trust carefully when consuming media.

The videos became a cornerstone of the campaign:

  • Video 1: A mantra-like infographic that powerfully illustrated the truth about trust and the necessity of media literacy.

  • Video 2: A compelling call to action featuring influential figures in Canadian journalism. Acting as a unified "war cry," the video urged Canadians to prioritize trusted sources and remain vigilant about where they get their news.

Together, these assets created a cohesive and impactful campaign that resonated deeply with audiences.
